I read that If the outbound transfer exceeds the amount included with my Droplets at end of the cycle, I will be charged $0.01 per excess gigabyte.
I am concerned about this potential automatic charge, especially in case of unwanted bot attacks, other malicious traffic increases or simply for personal budget reasons.
My idea is to add a configuration to be able to choose different behaviors.
It would be nice if we could choose different behaviors for excess traffic:
OPTION ONE: Excess data transfer is billed at $0.01/GiB (exactly as it is now). For those people who cannot afford application slowdowns.
For those who are more careful not to exceed a budget would need options of this type:
OPTION TWO: Excess data transfer will not be charged but the droplet network connection speed will be drastically reduced.
OPTION THREE: The droplet will be automatically disable or shutdwon in case the limit is reached.
You could also imagine advanced options:
CUSTOM OPTION: Set a custom limit over the 1,000 GiB/month (example: 2,000 GiB/month) within which you pay $0.01/GiB but when this custmo limit is reached the droplet must be limited or disabled.
Thank a lot!
