The amounts shown on invoices etc do not necessarily reflect the actual amount billed to one's credit card. You should provide a transaction receipt each time a card is billed.
this is absolutely weird. my tax department would like to see the actual withdrawal in one invoice.
This is really important. Business wishing to use DigitalOcean as a hosting provider will obviously be writing off the hosting expenses on their tax returns. In the case of an audit, they need to show receipts (not invoices). Currently, the only way to show this is cross reference the generated invoice with the actual credit card statement to show the amount paid. Similarly to the auto-generated invoices, DigitalOcean should generate receipts when payments are received that can be downloaded.
I will further add that the invoice for the actual credit card transaction _must_ have the last 4 digits of the credit card shown _on the invoice_. Without an actual invoice with this information, the accounting department will reject the invoice as invalid. This completely prevents us from using DigitalOcean.
We also need this for our billing department at a major university.
