Development and systems Q&A

Would be great to be able to launch docker containers rather than virtual servers. Provisioning would be very fast allowing almost real time auto scaling
thats what you are supposed to build on top of digital ocean.... we are using ansible to spin up droplets over the digital ocean api and then using openshift geard to deploy docker containers to those droplets.... pretty sweet combination.... let DO focus on the platform and you let geard handle your docker deployment then for truly automated you use ansible to orchestrate it all... and in minutes you can have 100 droplets with 100 docker images each running
from Management Console or API for easy one-app-one-container system building.
I imagine for this option lauch an instance with docker container(s) like the amazon ECS. It will be very interesting.
Docker Cloud can use DigitalOcean as a provider, but DigitalOcean providing an ECS-like service (or even just containers-as-a-service, without involving droplets at all) would be even more usable, and probably far cheaper.
I would really love something like https://hyper.sh/
Serverless Containers from Google (https://cloud.google.com/serverless/#serverless-and-containers-the-best-of-both-worlds) and Web App for Containers from Azure (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/app-service/containers/) are great, but it would be so much better if we could run them on DO.
