That would be awesome! A better latency for whole Europe.

There's already an Amsterdam location, so I don't see why it would be needed to open another location in the neighboring country...

Routing to Frankfurt is way better for almost all European ISPs than routing to Amsterdam. Of course this is not a top priority, but something to keep in mind for later.

I'd love that. I'm using my droplet for IRC and XMPP based services for a German community.

Looks like a different thread is carrying more votes. Perhaps you should consolidate your votes, with theirs: http://digitalocean.uservoice.com/forums/136585-digital-ocean/suggestions/4296967-datacenter-in-germany-preferably-frankfurt

One more reason, why you want a server in Germany: the IP address.

To me, it's better to have one outside Germany. I'm thinkin of blocked YT videos for example.

AMS is 50km termination point to N. America, vs 500km.

It's great to have the servers in Amsterdam so we can access all those websites about weed.

this would be an ideal place for a data center. Better than London as Germany uses the net 2nd only to the United States

I think offering the option to geolocate the droplet IP in Germany or any other European country would be a better idea. OVH.com has offered this for many years.

I vote for Frankfurt would be much lower latency and you would have more customers use your server to host cs 1.6 server latency is 80 to 50 Frankfurt Frankfurt is much better
