Development and systems Q&A
by Justin Ellingwood
For example, creating a snapshot there is no way no know how long it will take. The progress bar simply stays close to the beginning forever.
Right now, I have a droplet being created from a snapshot on ams2 (with larger disk) : progressbar is at about 5%, message says "Approximately 57 seconds remaining", it has been like that for at least 30 minutes already. Hope it will end at some point, would be great to have a more accurate progress information.

I have a same problem. After that, I got a message:
"There was an error while creating your droplet."
My instance creation has also paused at this point.

This is a problem with the droplet timing. They will look into and fix the problem
