What is the possibility of creating data centers in Brazil or in Latin America? The latency is high here!
But would also like to congratulate you for the quality and support!
Anywhere in South America would be great. I don't really mind paying a little bit more for this.
We're taking anywhere in South America, it does not need to be in Brazil!... What about Uruguay?
3 votes to Brazil. Right now which region do you guys use and whats the avg ping?
+1 Brasil or SouthAmerica
I waiting for you DC.... The question is when ?
It's only logical
My AWS instances are waiting to be transferred :)
AWS instances waiting to be migrated.
Csn't use ny or SF for latam because high latency.
Its 10k km from argentina to ny
My AWS instances are waiting to be transferred :)
After almost 4 years, nothing happens. This is the respect with Latam consumers :(
I am dragged to AWS. Please, don't make this happen!
Please make it happen.
Chears from argentina
Hey DO strategy guys, take a look at Equinix Datacenter in Sao Paulo, they have recently opened a new giant datacenter with an awesome infrastructure and very aggressive pricing on the São Paulo region here in Brazil. I think DO could do a colocation deal with them and set something up relatively quick. They have probably the best Datacenter infrastructure in the country and their colocation pricing is very aggressive indeed. check it out: https://www.equinix.com/locations/brazil-colocation/sao-paulo-data-centers/sp3/
please.... south america
+1 vote to brazil server.
Anywhere in South America would be great compared to farther locations like North America ou Europe.
After 4 years, nothing..
I'd like to add that if it's easier, please open in another South American country. Brazil has been known for it's horrible incentive towards companies, and maybe in another near country would be easier, since brazillian governament is so archaic.
Also agree there should be, living here I do understand there are many obstacles on setting up business here, but as someone who needs a close infraestructure as many other clients of DO it would surely have a great return! I really liked the service here, even tho I had to move to AWS due to the latency problem. I would be surely willing to come back with you guys if the was a either Brazil-based or South American datacenter.
Vote to have a data center in Brazil.
Or Colombia, Medellin has a great internet backbone I hear.
It will be awesome DigitalOcean here in Brazil!!
Please we need a new datacenter in Brazil!
Just remembering that amazon already did it!
Come to Brazil DC, please!
Would be great!
+3 serviço muito bom mas poucas opções de localização , olha a vultr ? mas mesmo assim um datacenter em são paulo ou rio de janeiro seria de bom agrado.
Are you planning to open a datacenter in Brazil? I am an DO client and am looking forward to the Brazilian DC :D
+1, According to Alexa, Brazil is the third country that most uses DO datacenters, it is only fair that they come to Brazil. There is a large market share here
+1, any update for plans?
Starting my BRL1 droplet soon!
(i hope so)
Look at Brazil!
+1. Bring DigitalOcean to Brazil!
+1 It's awesome service. I'd like a low latency too. Tks!
Trabalhar para abrir um servidor brasileiro pois a demanda de pessoas abrindo contas no Brasil é imensa
+! Would be great!! We need this!
+3, not only the latency here is high, but there's no one that offer a service nearly as awesome as you guys do!
+1, it would be great
It would be really awesome!!! +1
DO Latency is too high
This would be awesome.
Hi support, Luis from fatorbinario here.
If you guys offer Brazilian datacenters I can triple the public that I already sent to you in a few months.
But do this when you can, it's great as it is but it could be amazing.
In Brazil we only have AWS and IBM Blue Mix (Softlayer). One is impossible to plan how money you will spend, since all things are charged individually, and is easy to get some surprises. Other is expensive (+$25 for a very simple VPS). For small projects, testing VPS, we have no option.
I haven't had the time to test and compare yet, but there is a now a similar VPS provider with roughly the same price as DO: http://www.locaweb.com.br/cloud/vps-locaweb/
Customer service and panel functionalities are eons from being as we have with DO, though.
As most of my projects target Brazilian users, latency is important. I always turned a blind eye because DO hadn't no real competitors here, but I am seriously considering migrating out, as hurtful as it is, and I surely am not the only one thinking about it. This sort of "loyalty" in business can only go so far.
Also, somehow Locaweb managed to provide this kind of service with a really competitive price. It proves it is not impossible. Maybe DO should take advantage of our economy crisis and make an investment, even because the crisis is not hitting I.T. so hard as it is hitting other fields.
t's totally necessary to have a DO datacenter in Latin America! (+1)
Well, It's true latency is high but around 160ms tops if you stay at capital cities (Sp/Rj). The main problem is that latency inside the country is already huge if you compare to the one going oversea. Good news is that a new cable will be deployed connecting Sp directly to Nyc. That's why we chose to focus our droplets at Nyc datacenters. This could drop the latency up to 30%.
For more info: http://www.submarinecablemap.com/#/submarine-cable/seabras-1
Will go live June/2017 currently being manufactured.
It's totally necessary to have a DO datacenter in Latin America! Argentina or Brazil!
Please DigitalOcean datacenter in brazil, because NY Latence is high in Brazil
check this facts :
1-Population 626,741,000 (2015 est.)
3- There is not a single stable and reliable provider in the market.
4-We love DO
Vote para a Digital Ocean aceitar pagamento em Reais
It would be great if my clients could experience less delay in their requests to my system. With this datacenter in Brazil, they can do it!

A must you need to capture markets that are in need by many companies trying to be fast all over the world you will revolutionize this industry more than you think if you go after the data centers in the least likely places. South America is a must
I had to migrate my servers to Amazon for that, but If you bring your datacenters to here I will absolutely migrate my structure to DO
Vote, payment method for Brazil
I don't know if Brazil would be my number one choice, but at least somewhere un Latin América would be awesome.
Most local services are far from the quality we already receive from DO. Coming here will just expand your service even more.
DO: You will make a huge amount of money despite all the problems to open the business here. Your competitors will be shitty services that we hate and use it because theres not a good option.
Pagamento em reais, eu já ficaria feliz.
Yes, baby come on
Já acabou, Jéssica?
Pela minha mãe, pelo meu cachorro Boris, e pela minha VPS no Brasil, eu voto SIM! SIM! SIM!
We totally need that.
We need a data center in Brazil
Come make money in Brazil!
Yes, please! Let's make this latency better baby ;D
We need a DigitalOcean's data center in Brazil!!!!! o/\o
Precisamos de vocês no Brasil
We need a DigitalOcean's data center in Brazil!!!!! o//
I need a data center in Brazil
DigitalOcean venha com tudo!
Vem com tudo
come 2 us
Abre logo aeeeeeeeee pô!
Abre logo essa porra aqui no Brasil !
+ 3 Se não for possível abrir no Brasil, que seja na argentina ou no Paraguai!
I suggest datacenter on AL, Brazil, and your frontand in portuguese. Tks
Seria bom se isso acontecesse.
Put a datacenter on Brazil !
Having a dataceneter in Latin America would certainly benefit lots of customers
Having the same (or higher, upgraded) speed we see in miami and united states - With lot LESS delay in ms - would be the greatest product. Take care on local taxes, sometimes high, but a company deal with proper arrengement (Amcham?) will get relief on them. It's foreign invesment, much needed!
Of course we need in Brazil this great provider (top speed and lowest price). Cities Curitiba/PR and Sao Paulo/SP are awsome. But you shall act as DIGITAL OCEAN always do ! One budget (cheap!) and fine provider. Good speed on machines (unixbench) and 1gbps to 10gbps links - so 1TB - 3TB transfers are easy and on bugdget (10-30 dollars).
This will make killer sales. Because we (and many more) are using now miami data centers (130-204ms away). And 'Azure' sao paulo (4 to 15ms away). And paying them is costly for a south american country.
Than be careful on price tag (low), and transfer amount (TB bundled). Catch a deal on local bandwith providers and come right away !
Will this even happen? please DO at least give some feedback, are you still considering it or what?
guys wake up dollar is at 4 to 1 now, build it and profit!
Vote in payment method for brazil
+1 We need this, there a lot of issues due to latency with US servers to BR users. A data center located in Brazil with DigitalOcean quality and good price would be awesome!
Hey guys, this would be amazing! Also, could be a great business!! We don't have good hosting companies in Brazil.
Coming to Brazil... PLS
+2! The latency is too much for us
Come to Brazil please! You're welcome here!
I think its going to take a mass exodus for this to happen, i for one already moved my stuff to host1plus (they are carring a BR datacenter)
Please. Digital Ocean, think about it.
Please, come to Brazil!
Chile has a lot of earthquackes. It would be great to have a datacenter in Argentina. There are good cloud services so you could easily get the whole market. If not, Brasil!
Any SA country would be much appreciated... +3...
Please! Brazil or Latin America!
Now in october 2015, 1 USD equal to 4 BRL.
Could you take advantage to pay cheaper in import taxes? Dollar is much money now!
Please, bring DO to Brazil.
Not necessarily in Brazil but ANYWHERE in South America would be great!
please please... come
Pelo amor de Deus vem pro Brasil Digital
+1 for Datacenter in Chile (PS: The only Google's Latin American datacenter is here!)
@digitalocean : a datacenter in Brazil is extremely necessary.
+1 Moving to Brazil and would love to move my server with me =)
+3 for datacenter(s) in Brazil.
i am using HOST1PLUS in Brazil my ping is 19ms, CMON GUYS bring me back!
+3 to get this one done soon. =D
www.digitalocean.com = 153ms == HOST1PLUS = 292ms
Apreciaria ver um data center no BRASIL
we're waiting you guys down here in the jungle! we don't bite though. we'd love to have our droplets near by. thanks for the great work.
Vem pro Brasil Digital Ocean, tá esperando o que?
Hope this will be soon :)
Hope to see a datacenter of digitalocean in Brazil soon! Congratulations for your service!
data centers in Brazil, Brazil, Brazil :)
Brazil is a good idea. I want to do a Magento site there.
Host1Plus has a datacenter in brazil with good pricing, the service is good but digital ocean is better, if host1plus can do it, digitalocean could too...
It would be awesome.
Bring a new DC to Sao Paulo (Brazil).
Amazon and a lot others hosting providers already opened a DC in Brazil.
I have a great feeling that the DO had seen until the middle of the semester with Data Center in Rio.
My vps is NY location.
This is already a matter of urgency!
gotta love that idea
It would be great if you'd in Brazil. Come to Brazil !!!
Waiting for DO servers in Brazil!
Please come to Brazil
Actually Brazil is the 5th at the rank of countries with most people using internet. Its over 100 million people just in this country (without considering our neighbor latin countries), and this is just half of the population, which means there are more 100 million people waiting for the internet market to expand.
Besides that, the IT and startup market in Brazil is growing exponentially, and the requirements for faster and better DataCenter provides is bigger everyday.
I think it would be a win scenario for both DO and developers/startups if we had a DataCenter here in Brazil.
Please come to Brazil <3 <3 <3 <3
Please, come to Brazil!!!
Most DigitalOcean datacenters are located inside Equinix datacenters (https://www.digitalocean.com/help/policy/) and Equinix just bought ALOG in Brazil, with a datacenter in Sao Paulo and another planned for Rio de Janeiro.
We wish you were here :-)
+1. Some clients of mine can't have data outside our Brazil. So would be awesome to provede your services form than if they can assure they data is here.
What a awesome idea! I will transfer all my websites to DO!
What's the current status of it? Last time it was discussed by Moisey it was Feb 2013. It's now Sep 2014.
Any official response to this, yet?
Please! that will be awesome!
this is going to be huge
Any updates about this very nice idea?
Sounds Good +1
I think so.
What about the same DC of Cloudflare? http://www.terremark.com.br/
+3 votes! :D
Any ETA for this???
Here it says this is planned, but where can we get any ETA / Status for this ? Thanks ! =)
Any ETA or news on this? I would move to a brazilian DC right away. I really don't mind paying even the double if it has a great quality.
Is there an update on this issue?
Great ideia !
No news on this? I really want to migrate to DO.
+1. I am using the EC2 in São Paulo due the latency with Digital Ocean.
You can run a Amazon AWS in São Paulo (Brazil) Spot Instance excluding the transfer (thats not included in AWS), with 0.612 MB RAM and 20 GB of HDD for just $ 3.64 (cheaper than digital ocean).
So its possible to made this service in Brazil, for the same price or a little bit more expensive
"Probability is very high and we are shooting for a BR POP in 2013! =]"
I'm VERY sad
Have you looked at Chile if it ain't happening in Brazil?
Please do it. Due to some bullshit regulation, many companies need servers in Brazil.
+ 1000000 it would be a kick in the ass of brazilian crappy hosting providers... and a decent alternative to BR EC2...
But don't expect good/same prices.
@Moisey I am commenting here to your reply on the DO Blog post about new datacenter locations (https://www.digitalocean.com/blog_posts/digitalocean-announces-second-amsterdam-datacenter-ams2#comment-1150764314).
I understand that you delayed plans to open a DC in Brazil, due to several hurdles. The difficulty of doing business in Brazil is well known even to locals. They even invented an expression to sum up all those hurdles of doing business: "The cost of Brazil". Key to doing business is knowing the local conditions, in special the hidden solution to obstacles. I'll try to contribute with some insights:
Regarding the cost of network connectivity, the impact of higher fees might be reduced if you consider peering on local IXPs. In Brazil we have a very serious non-profit organization operating IXPs (internet exchange) in several metropolitan areas. They are very serious engineers, partnering regularly with AIX (Amsterdam) and LINX (London). Assuming your DC is in the city of São Paulo, you would get almost free traffic to a huge portion of the citizens of Brazils biggest metropolitan area, as major ISPs peer. It is worth researching on the IXP option, as there are network operators, interconnecting a few IXPs, for rates lower than the usual upstream provider. So effectively you can reach a considerable part of the Brazilian households without using bandwidth of an upstream provider. The site of the IXP operator: http://ptt.br (not in english). Their contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
As to datacenter options, I personally know the facility of ALog, an Equinix company (http://www.alog.com.br/?lang=en). They also host a POP of the São Paulo IXP (internet exchange). So peering is simple.
Regarding the VISA bureaucracy it is not unusual to contract a specialized lawyer to assist when dealing with public administration. This is vital for importations, but also common for VISA issues.
The taxation of imports is very well known. This way Brazilian government tries to incentive national production. Several IT companies have national fabs. For example Dell, HP, IBM, produce a good part of their server lines in Brasil. Maybe there is already a national production of your approved hardware. Besides avoiding taxation, choosing a national product you get access to competitive financing by BNDES, the national develpment bank (http://www.bndes.gov.br/SiteBNDES/bndes/bndes_en/). At least the local Dell representation assists in this type of financing.
I am not an expert on the Brazilian datacenter market, but hope to have contributed. Knowing the Brazilian business landscape in general, I highly recommend to work with a local consultant, as the best alternatives for a given project use not to be obvious and the difference in outcome might be huge.
2013 almost ending... give us some cookies!
The problem is the brazilian government. Here we are heavy taxed by all sides, and keep low costs is a real challenge for IT companies making businesses in Brazil.
Anyway, I'm still wishing that DO launchs a datacenter somewhere arround here soon.
That's weird. Tableless.com.br is hosted with DigitalOcean and it's fast as hell.
If the cost of a "brazilian" droplet will be 3X more expensive, just deploy a DC in Chile, or Argentina.
The last update on some other pages/idea was that Brazil was far more complicated then they had first thought. So the next expansion will be UK first and the one in Asia. Brazil properly postpone until these two are done.
Any updates on this? 2013 is more than halfway through and we haven't heard about it yet...
Moisey any news about that?
It would be great.
Would love this too, please come =)
IMO, I think DigitalOcean should charge the double of the US price. Currently, Amazon EC2 micro instance (600mb memory) in Sao Paulo is costing $20/month.
$10 for a 512mb droplet look very good :)
@Moisey I'm not sure if this might help but, Valve and recently "League of Legends" found out an affordable way to place servers in Brazil, maybe a good idea to "talk to then" or "figure out what they choose".
We know that right now, the status quo here is to charge a lot for not so good services... as an example, the major cloud hosting charge 10x more what you guys do (a 512mb VPS on UOL HOST or Locaweb in Brazil is the equivalent of 50USD).
Doing all you guys can to beat that price will give massive market share
Dallas and Miami also serve Latina America pretty well.
Are all the hardware owned by DO or DO just lease it from some companies in Brazil?
Hello Moisey Uretsky,
I really agree about complication and expensive services in Brazil. But I would recommend at least, study other countries in Latin America, which may support it and be less expensive. I don't think there are a Tier 3 datacenter, but something near that could be good to su.
Acredito que seria ótimo ter serviço destes no Brazil.
(please help, pass to Brazil, thanks)

@Moisey Uretsky Asia Data Center first please! I think Singapore or Hongkong are cheaper than brazil. And more people in Asia than Latin America
We've been working with providers in Brazil and the situation is rather complicated. There are a number of concerns from making sure that the facility is in fact a Tier3 datacenter that has the required power redundancy, cooling, and infrastructure to support our rack density.
The next issue is the lack of connectivity in Brazil and the unfortunately extreme high prices that carriers are charing. The costs are 15-30x higher in Brazil for connectivity than in the US and EU.
Lastly, we are dealing international requirements such as setting up a corporate entity and resolving the import legislation for shipping equipment on site.
Moisey Uretsky, any news? Thanks!
If you guys figure out a way to make this significantly cheaper than existing alternatives (uol, locaweb, etc), expect HUGE demand, and by huge I really mean MASSIVE amount of people migrating... many of us host our sites on US because it's alot cheaper, and the only ones who host it here do it because they really need to... by creating a attractive price, you will win both of them
I have complete infrastructure we can negotiate some Gbps link
managed to keep cool price and competitor in Brazil please contact me
I'm pretty sure that most of us brazilian would be willing to pay the price, even if its more expensive than our local servers...
UOL Host VPS's (http://www.uolhost.com.br/uol-cloud-computing.html)
. 512MB RAM, 1 Core x 1.4GHz, 4Mpbs bandwidth BRZ$ 79/m ~US$ 33

. 2GB RAM, 2 Cores, 50GB HD, 3TB Transfer BRZ$1046 ~US$ 447
I would be happy to pay more for this!
The location that we are looking into is Sao Paulo.
So far we have seen that datacenter costs are 2x - 3x higher then the US.
Bandwidth costs unfortunately currently are 10x-15x higher than the US.
The other main issue that we are looking into is to understand the infrastructure and resilience of the facilities to see if they have the appropriate measures in place for redundant power, backup power, generators, cooling, etc.
Moisey Uretsky, even for double the price, $10 one 512mb droplet, i will pay for in brazil datacenter. Please use alog in sao paulo, its the best datacenter here(i'm not payed by them for this, its the experience)
Yeap, plz come to Brazil!
This will be very nice, we are intenting to host our services on digital ocean but my company is wondering if the datacenter can be located in Brasil.
Will be a great new feature...
Great news, congratulations DigitalOcean!
+3. Latency goes around 150-160ms from the NY datacenter (the one with best results for my region), but a local datacenter would probably drop that to around 20-30ms, like the local-ultra-expensive host companies from here.
Men, that wonderful notice! I'm very happy with Digital Ocean.
If they go to brazil, it
great news, digitalocean in São Paulo - Brazil
waiting for soon!
Very good news for the Brazilian
Now with San Francisco done our attention is on Brazil.
When we have more information we'll update, we're just in the preliminary stages of choosing a datacenter facility.
Yes! this would be great!
you have time to launch the datacenter in Brazil ?
I am Brazilian and I think that coming from a company that offers excellent services will only add and help us developers to structure quality and excellent infrastructure. Besides the fact that will mess with the Brazilian market and force companies to improve their quality ... hoping it materializes.
that would be nice!
This would be great!! :D
Today we've announced our latest DC which is San Francisco and now we are moving forward with looking into our next region which will be Brazil, specifically Sao Paulo =]
Datacenters in Brazil? The best location is in São Paulo, the workcenter of Brazil.
I'm sure I can help to make it real.
We can help you guys if you choose to use our datacenter.
I think that three good places for datacenters are: Colombia, Ecuador and Chile.
+1. Datacenter on Brazil! My latency:
64 bytes from 18.104.22.168: icmp_seq=0 ttl=51 time=167.252 ms
64 bytes from 22.214.171.124: icmp_seq=1 ttl=51 time=166.974 ms
64 bytes from 126.96.36.199: icmp_seq=2 ttl=51 time=172.223 ms
64 bytes from 188.8.131.52: icmp_seq=3 ttl=51 time=189.290 ms
64 bytes from 184.108.40.206: icmp_seq=4 ttl=51 time=167.930 ms
64 bytes from 220.127.116.11: icmp_seq=5 ttl=51 time=170.299 ms
+1 . I'm also from Brazil and it would be wonderful to have a Brazilian Datacenter!
for some reason, trying to connect to chile from brazil, have a bigger latency then from new york dc:
64 bytes from 18.104.22.168: icmp_req=1 ttl=49 time=243 ms
64 bytes from 22.214.171.124: icmp_req=1 ttl=43 time=151 ms
maybe it's not the best option if you are targeting Brazil market
Hi Moisey Uretsky.
I´d like to introduce our DC´s in Brazil. We are also a member of Equinix Platform.
Check out our service at www.alog.com.br/en/
Is it possible to get your email adress?
Chile!! Have Net Neutrality!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_neutrality#Law_in_Chile
I'm From Chile, i have some physical servers here (126.96.36.199)!
Chile is really a good option, looks like Chile government supports IT companies, and the costs and taxes is far low compared to Brazil.
I'm from Brazil, I would like a lot to have DigitalOcean datacenters here, but may be better if you create one in Chile or Paraguay, will pay less taxes and less headache.
God bless you all.
Great! i'm in expect!
We're looking into it =]
Most likely Sao Paulo
Maybe we could go with something in the middle. Maybe somewhere in US that latency is lower, like Florida that is a bit closer. It could drop latency by about 70ms
Chile is a great place! Google Datacenter is under construction in Chile!!
Great prices, great services. Hey guys, bring some data center to Brazil ASAP !
that's really good to know : ) I'm loving DigitalOcean so far but sometimes the latency (from Bolivia) is a little too high for my taste.
It would be great!
"Good and Reliable" DCs in Brazil are very expensive, mostly power, IP allocations and bandwidth. Of course there are the cheap ones...
Also you will have to import the Rack Servers at high taxes or buy locally twice the price... it's a nightmare, i've been there.
Even if DigitalOcean adjusts the price fairly, in order to keep the reliable service that Digital Ocean has been provided all along, that will be more than fair.
Digital Ocean is still a lot cheaper than competitors and the reliability and performance is outstanding.
If you can keep the same prices in Brazil as in the US, that will be something really special.
Looking forward to create a droplet in Brazil DC. :)
That's correct. Reliable DCs and internet in Brazil is a bit expensive.
We are looking into it and will be using a great Tier1 provider - we are still calculating the costs to see if that will force to adjust the prices for the Brazilian VMs or if we'll be able to stay at $5/mo for the 512MB
Unfortunately: Data Center in Brazil != Reliable OR Data Center in Brazil != Cheap.
Due to expensive and terrible link providers.
Totally agree! We would enjoy that!
with my ISP the latency is not too high, However its a great idea.
Yeah, please! We sure could use a data center placed down here. :)
With only 1 datacenter placed in Brazil you can have low latency for the whole region. It would be awesome!
Yeah!!! We really, really, really would enjoy that!
Hey guys, this would be amazing! Also, could be a great business!! We don't have good hosting companies in Brazil.
"good vps in Brazil is awesome" +1
+1 good vps in Brazil is awesome
Pessoal, por favor respondam nossa pesquisa para implantação de um data center no Brasil!
Great news Moisey Uretsky ! We have a great market for Cloud Hosting here in Brazil.
At this time, we have 3 or 4 expensive options. Waiting to see Digital Ocean Data Center into Brazil or Latin America.
Way to go!!!
Aprovado um VPS com preço justo.
Google it's building a data center on Quilicura, Chile... perhaps you could Chile as well :-)
GREAT IDEA !
Would be great
great idea :-D
wowww it´s a great idea
I think that is not necessary to have a data center on Brazil/Latin America.
If the Digital Ocean integrates the payment with PagSeguro/MoIP or something like that, to brazilians pay for Digital Ocean in BRL (Reais) is sufficient.
But a Datacenter here is a real good ideia. :)
Will be a great new feature.. Maybe not in Brazil because high prices but South America, only to decrease latency...
We've begun looking into DCs in Brazil and unfortunately Frederico's assessment is spot on the power charges are about 3x higher than what we pay in the US.
We will be reviewing facilities to see if we can find a good fit and unfortunately with the high cost of power there will be a slightly different price, but I'm sure it will still be very competitive for the industry overall.
Currently, the only rock solid hosting available in Brazil I know is EC2.
besides, EC2 is way more expensive in Brazil, all AWS prices are the highest in Brazil.
It would be very hard for Digital Ocean to be able to deploy their services in Brazil, because colocation, traffic and IP allocations are seriously overpriced.
Digital Ocean would have to charge twice or even 3 times, just to be able to provide a datacenter in Brazil.
nevertheless, if there was Digital Ocean in Brazil, I am very sure they would have a lot of customers, even from all over South America. The demand is high...
You can migrate VMs between datacenters by taking a snapshot of the existing VM and then creating a new one from the snapshot in the new location.
When this occurs it will be possible to transfer my droplet this POP?
Probability is very high and we are shooting for a BR POP in 2013! =]
+1 Brazil..."After almost 4 years, nothing happens. This is the respect with Latam consumers :(" Ciro
