ubuntu 10.04 is a LTS release and a lot of people are still using it for production purposes
Why was this declined? This was 1 of the few hurdles I had in moving to Digital Ocean.
i too need 10.04
It also provides for a direct upgrade path to future LTS releases (12.04) when someone is ready for it.
This version of Ubuntu is officially supported for 5 years (so until April of 2015). There are lots of people using it as a stable platform.
With the release of Ubuntu 12 LTS and with support for Ubuntu 11 we are sunsetting this request.
If you have any questions please feel free to email us : contact [at] digital ocean DOT com
Ubuntu LTS versions are needed for stable productions. Thanks
We are reviewing all base distro images this week and investigating other open-source initiatives. If our testing goes well we'll be able to perhaps offer additional images.
However we are aiming to keep the base distro's with fewer choices so that we can concentrate on providing application stacks, if we do receive enough up votes for any particular distro that will always push it up our product pipeline.
