IPv6 for load balancers

So far, load balancers only get an IPv4 and no IPv6.

In practice, this means that load balancers cannot be used if you want to provide IPv6 connectivity.

I would love to use this feature, but only if IPv6 was made available.

Thanks for the suggestion Rémy, we are aware of this limitation and we want to fix it, it's planned to be fixed in the future. Stay tuned for updates.

Any news ?? We are using your loadbalance to provide your platform.
Actually it is a must be, since you are provinding infrastructure.

The status changed to Planned, I don't know since when. This idea 2 years already but still no ipv6 support. My damm old router is already manufactured with ipv6 enabled since the past 6 years. It's 2020 when the ipv6 available anywhere not only major cloud providers, ISP and office/home router but also other services make it required in order to work.

This is just Load Balancer, not to mention unavailability of ipv6 for VPC.

Please announce the roadmap for this. Don't just let it planned forever.

I have all ipv6 for all my public cloud networks and projects. But So far this is the only reason I can't migrate to DO soon. Service like Netlify proxy require proper ipv6 to backend to avoid networking issue. Apple also require iOS developer to use ipv6.

Waww Can't be they don't support V6. So what happens if an end user use an IP V6 address and connect to your web site. ?
Or does it mean it does not accept IPV6 to forward the traffice to droplets on IPv6 ?

    Hi,

We would like to use DO Load Balancer but this isn't possible without IPv6 support. We have iOS App which have to connect to DO Load Balancer.

    See Apple developer quotation:

"Starting June 1, 2016, all apps submitted to the App Store must support IPv6-only networking."

Is there a plan when this feature would  be available?

    regards

    Emanuel
