Country Based Rules for Cloud Firewalls

I would love to see the addition of a basic country-based option for cloud firewall rules.

A few examples:

  • Block all countries except X,Y,Z from all ports/protocols
  • Block RU on all ports/protocols
  • Only allow US on Port 22

This can be done more efficiently - both in cost and machine time, before traffic ever reaches the droplet.

And while this can be done by third party providers like cloudflare, that often has high costs and gives up privacy and control of our site(s).

Perhaps DO would consider offering a $PAID version of CC rules that removes the burden of design and execution from developers.

In addition to CC rules, DO may consider monitoring for DENIAL of SERVICE and PORT MAPPING, at a reasonable $COST.
