When creating a new cluster, the user has the choice to install a few one click apps.
The first one in the list is the called "Metrics" if I recall.
DO installs their own hidden and un-modifiable version of the dashboard. This version however, independantly from the one click installs, will NOT support and show metrics.
Metrics are rather critical to operating a K8s cluster. The only solution today to for the user to install his own version of the dashboard. That means the users has access to the DO dashboard from the DO UI and his own version through the kubctl proxy. The DO version however, will never (unless this suggestion is implemented) show any metrics and charts.
I think it would be beneficial for the one click install app "Metrics" (the first in the list), to install the missing metrics scraper allowing to:
query metrics: `kubectl top nodes -A` (for instance)
