You can specify a custom build command for an App Platform component in one of two ways:
- In the app's spec using the build_command field: https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/app-platform/reference/app-spec/#yaml-file-structure
- At component creation time: https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/app-platform/how-to/create-apps/#configure-resource-settings
