Better Trusted Sources management
Yanick Rochon
Whenever we need to manually query a database, we have to manually enter our personal IP addresses to the Trusted sources field. Then, when the operation is done, manually remove the added IP address.
The current interface falls short on these points:
- potentially deleting incorrect IP address
- having unknown IP addresses in the Trusted sources field
- forgetting to remove temporary IP addresses
Improvements
* Adding optional labels for IP addresses to identify what they are
* Adding IP addresses with expiration date
* Clearly identtify IP class (potentially with geolocation info)
* Display creation date and user to added the IP address
These improvements will make DigitalOcean more secure and allow more control over trusted sources associated to containers.

Enable / Disable | Temporary Trusted Sources

Under Network Access, I'm able to add the Trusted Sources. And I'm putting there my IP. But let's say I want them to be:
- Temporary (so the access will drop in 24 hours. (I'm traveling, and I need access to db from the location I might not return to) So the access would drop automatically
- Enable / Disable access source. In the Age of AI we have troublesome possibilities that AI will decide to connect to prod for any reason and delete it. So in order for me not add / remove my "Home" IP address i can enable disable it easily. As well as Disable after 2 hours. In this situation the IP stays saved, but it is valid only for certain amount of hours.
Thank you.

It would be nice to have a log when a trusted source was added/removed and from which source (cloud panel, API, DOCTL).
