Davide Prati Hi, thanks for reaching out! The Firewall service in the DigitalOcean control panel and the UFW firewall software on the Droplet are separate firewall applications. The one in the control panel on DigitalOcean's website can be used to block and filter traffic, similar to UFW, but the firewall rules can be applied to many Droplets at once. The UFW rules on a Droplet apply solely to the Droplet they reside on. You can think of UFW as a native software that just comes with the Droplet. It's up to you whether you want to use it or not.

You can create a firewall using the control panel and apply it to just one Droplet if you want. Otherwise, you're free to manually configure UFW with the traffic rules you want and not use the firewall service at all.
