Thank you for fulfilling this request.
The website mentions the functionality a bit, but I see no way of adding a label or something to an IP address. Can you make a screen-capture-gif and add it to the documentation, so we quickly see how this new functionality works?

We have updated our UI and API for Trusted Sources to make it easier to track your trusted sources and manage them. We now have a dedicated tab for each Managed Database to add/remove trusted sources. When you add or update a new trusted source, you are able to add a label to make it easier to reference in the future! You can read more about trusted sources labeling and other advancements we made in observability and management here: https://www.digitalocean.com/blog/managed-databases-observability-updates#trusted-sources-ip-labeling

We have various people in our organisation that need access to a read-only replica of our prod database. Being able to create a named list of IP addresses for the trusted sources list would go a long way to help manage all the fixed IP addresses our people are using to access our resources.

Very much needed! No way to audit or keep track of what IPs belong to what. We have several 3rd party vendors that we had to whitelist for and there is no way to teel what IP belongs to whom.

quoting the original question:
When whitelisting trusted sources for a managed database you can add clusters by name or add ip addresses.
Is it possible to create a list of IP addresses + their identifier on account level (eg. “John’s home network” => 185.170.12.12 ) and then we could select John’s home network when adding new trusted sources to a managed DB.
With this feature it would be more readable to know which trusted sources are still needed + which IP is what. (eg. when working from home some people need a whitelist but if one gets fired how do we know which IP was linked to his homenetwork?)
Thanks!
