I vote for it, too. The current implementation makes it impossible to migrate a database from one managed db instance to another without downtime.
There are good reasons to do that!
One of them is, if someone "acidentially" upgraded the managed db server as there is NO option to downsize the db server instance.
So instead of 100USD/Month you are welcomed with a bill of 500USD/Month if you don't read the full docs. (Take care guys!)
Solution: User has to setup then a new db instance and export & import the db data to the new db. This means downtime for the application or at least to implement further mechanisms to prevent write access to the db while it is transferred.
When running an ecommerce application with a very big db you know what this means...
So, please offer the same migration feature that you offer for initial import of data from foreign db servers.
