The current browser-based console is very limited. It would be really nice if you could do something analogous to

docker exec

in the doctl CLI. For example:

doctl apps exec <app id> <component name> <command> [args]

Yeah, this is a major pain point for me. We utilize the rails console for a lot of tasks and the browser based console is really lacking. Even just the fact that it seems to timeout if you navigate away from it for even just a minute.

For example using django it's very common to use manage.py commands to import data.
