Today our apache died on the droplet. A couple of hours passed until we found out.
It would be nice to have a (premium?) feature at Digital Ocean to get notified in case the websites (apache/nginx server) are down and not loading anymore.
A notification by email would be sufficient. Bonus could be SMS and phone call.
By the way, I am aware that there are many third party services. But probably it would be nice to have everything in one place:
  1. Digital Ocean is monitoring the server droplets already.
  2. Digital Ocean could sell this as an extra feature (like the backup feature).
