The other day I botched an upgrade. Fortunately, I had taken a snapshot just before. But I had to instantiate a whole droplet in order to get at a few files I had accidentally deleted, and deal with ssh keys and such to try to copy them over to the upgraded instance.

It would be extremely useful to be able to mount a snapshot as a (readonly) volume on an instance in order to do local file copies.
