It would be great if the new monitoring service also had webhooks. This would make it significantly easier for our orchestration service to respond to events and take action.

Today our apache died on the droplet. A couple of hours passed until we found out. It would be nice to have a (premium?) feature at Digital Ocean to get notified in case the websites (apache/nginx server) are down and not loading anymore. A notification by email would be sufficient. Bonus could be SMS and phone call. By the way, I am aware that there are many third party services. But probably it would be nice to have everything in one place: Digital Ocean is monitoring the server droplets already. Digital Ocean could sell this as an extra feature (like the backup feature). Thanks in advance for considering.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE !!!! Add the option to send email notifications when a droplet goes offline, a backup fails or other status information. Our droplet stopped today for no reason and we only found out when we started receiving emails from infuriated customers! Such a simple thing is absolutely critical and I am surprised it's not already provided for!

Memory Available is the most important memory metric for performance and preventing OOM. Currently Memory Utilization is provided, but this has another calculation which for example sets all buffers as memory used. This way for example warnings of Memory Usage above 80% are triggered, while the droplet still has 50% memory available: Linux will try to use all free memory for caches and buffers. Providing the Memory Available metric (which should conform to Memory Available in for example the free command) will enable to set alerts which are useful and reduce false positives in alerts.

The usage graph shows a different timezone whereas we follow GST which makes it difficult for us to analyse the usage graph. Timezone for usage graphs should be configurable

I like the graphs feature which shows the bandwidth, CPU and Disk I/O for a period. I thought it would be nice if I could pass this information on to my client along with their monthly invoice. A simple "Download Graph image" button next to the graphs is all I'm asking for (which downloads a jpg or png to my hard drive).

It would be great to be able to see the usage metrics of every droplet I have at a glance. How about creating a dashboard where I could view the mem & CPU usage, network traffic etc for all droplets on once screen?

Add swap usage as a monitoring metric (for linux based servers). Either number of swap pages in use, or perhaps swap rate.

Would love it if support for custom metrics could be added for the monitoring/alerting announced today. For example, things like: User signups Emails sent 200/4xx/5xx rates UX RUM metrics The droplets would have to supply the metrics, but once ingested, the monitoring framework could supply visualization & alerting.

6 hours as the bottom limit for the time filter at the Graphs section is a lot. The fact that you display the graphs with only 400px makes it hard to see the information in detail with 6hs of data being displayed. Making the graphs wider will help a little bit, but I really don't need to see 6hs of information all the time. I mostly care about the last 15 minutes. I just want to see longer periods when something is wrong.
